Gold filled: 14K gold filled wire is created when 14k gold is bonded to a base metal resulting in a layer of genuine gold that is over 100x thicker than the layer of gold than something that is plated with gold. It will not wear off with regular wear. Durable and tarnish resistant, these pieces are suitable for daily wear. Gold filled pieces are beautiful, affordable alternatives to solid gold, and can be worn by people with sensitive skin. This particular wire is 14/20 meaning 5 percent of the weight is solid 14K gold.
